The Lounge Sack
I thought I was the only one in the dark on this particular pattern. I reckon it takes a genius to figure this one out. Math is not one of my best subjects so I'm really a dummie here on how to figure out the percentage as to how to cut the fabric. Also, some instructions on how to sew this would help a great deal. Looks like Sew News is REALLY dropping the ball on us this time. It's very disappointing.
The Lounge Sack
I did make two lounge sacks for my daughter's reading area of her Grad 5/6 class and the kids loved them. I wish I could show you a picture...everyone is correct saying the pattern in for a child, not an adult. I did enjoy making them. I would like to see more patterns in the future but with downloadable patterns for the average computer Lynn

The patter will not print out on 8 1`/2 x 11 paper. Could you make it smaller, and then just tell how much of a percentage to enlarge? The pattern as is, is useless.
lounge sack pattern
Would it be possible to give us the percentage to enlarge to?

I had to enable the poster print function to be able to print it out.
Pattern Dimensions (from Sew News)
Dear Readers, We apologize for the confusion in printing out this pattern. As printers vary, here are the dimensions if you are not able to print out the pattern at actual size. Body: 29 1/2" at the center foldline, upper curved edge is 4" long and lower curved edge is 10 1/2". Top: 10"-diameter circle Bottom: 26" at the center foldline, 13" radius (widest point).
Frustrated!
Okay, I've had it! My husband (who is quite computer literate) spent days trying to get this pattern to print out correctly. Then I tried. Then I tried calling. Then I tried e-mailing! I am not very happy. If this is the kinds of customer service I can expect from Sew News, maybe it's time to cancel my subscription. :-(
Pattern size is too small
Please let me know what the actual size of this pattern should be. . . . . . .
pattern size
I have tried several ways to print this off and only get the scaled-down size. I need to know what % to enlarge it. The magazine does tell this or the dementions.
pattern does not print
you obviously have a problem with this file, I see that many people have the same problem. I would love to try this project & is the reason I bought the magazine. I won't make this mistake again. Please fix the file or return my money for the magazine.
Pattern needs to be tiled, please.
With patterns that fit the full size onto on page, the only way to get this to print properly will require the tiling software for Adobe. Since the software is expensive, I don't have it. (I have to save my monies for things like SEW NEWS and FABRIC!) I have had some limited success by "selecting" the image and then using copy and paste to turn the pdf into a jpeg. Then I print the image using the poster setting. There is also an online site that will take images and tile them for you - but it have to be in an image format (jpeg, bitmap, gif, png... that sort of thing. I ended up going to my print menu for each piece, and writing down the percentage it was being printed. Then I measured the printed image, and set up an algebra equation to get the final measurement. (# inches of pattern piece on printed page) equals (percentage printed) times (unknown number) Since math is my worst nightmare, I sure would appreciate being able to down load this already tiled for printing out full size. Please and thank you! - G.
bean bag pattern
I am having the same problem w/ printing the pattern . only 1 page prints . do you have the dimensions for each pc.
Beanbag Pattern
Cute Idea! Is this pattern for a Hamster or a Guinea Pig? Could you at least give us a clue as to the size of the pattern pieces. If the pattern were printed on a grid so that it could be transferred by hand to 1" grid pattern paper would be a help. You know, the old-fashioned way.
Same printing pattern problems
I'm having the same problem that TopoftheHillDesign is having. I've tried changing all of my printer settings, and I still only get one page with part of the pattern. Has anyone else had found a way to fix this problem?
Serger chart
I love this chart. Thank you so much. I've been looking at some sergers and wondering what to get. This is perfect, even has the check list to go with it. thank you, thank you Dorine
Printing pattern problems
I have Adobe set to print 100% with paper source set to 8.5 x 11 and I only get one page that contains only a portion of the pattern which looks to be actual size, however, it won't print any more of the pattern. Is there something else I need to set in Adobe to get it to print the entire pattern?
Thank you so much
My niece is staying with me for a couple of weeks before she goes to college. We are making bias strip rugs, pillows and such for her room. She was so excited about the bean bag chair. I only hope we have enough time to complete it! Thank you for making me a cool aunt! Debi Tullier
Pattern Sizing (from Sew News)
Hello readers! The pattern is at the actual size dimensions and should print out in actual size as long as your printer is not set to scale it down to fit on an 8 1/2"x11" sheet. When you select "print", go to "Properties" or "Page Scaling" and select the option which allows the pattern to be printed actual size. Each pattern piece takes up multiple sheets when printed on standard paper. Also, complete instructions can be found in the Aug/Sept 2009 issue of Sew News.
sizing would help,of course you could make it any size if we had the proportions
Instructions
There is NO instructions for the beanbag chair. How are we suppose to make this?????
sizes please
please indicate how much the patterns are supposed to be enlarged.
Real size beanbag
I appreciate the pattern, but the top, panel, and bottom copied to three different percentages. This will make it hard to size this beanbag correctly. Have you any instructions for doing the sizing?
enlarge this pattern?
How much do i enlarge this pattern. Have I missed something here?
Material
Who carries this particular fabric? I would love to use the fabric you displayed. Thanks!
Lounge Sack Pattern
Please list the percentage of enlargement needed to make the sack as pictured in the article.
Need info
I have the copy of your magazine, however you do not indicate how much the pieces should be increased. As previous posters have commented if you just sew this as is only a doll could use it. The yardages in your magazine must be for a full size chair. Please help. Thanks.
Pattern Pieces
Are we suppose to enlarge the pattern pieces? As they are, it is fit for a doll.
Scale of pattern
What is the scale of the pattern pieces?
INSTRUCTIONS
