Supplies
Instructions
Cut and construct the bag following the instructions, but attach only one handle before adding the lining (A).

Download the cover-side pattern. From the sheer fabric, cut four cover sides.
Set the serger for a rolled edge, following the machine manual. Serge-finish the cover-side edges, stitching from the lower edge toward the point. Serge-finish the cover-base edges. Apply a drop of seam sealant to the thread tails. Let dry; trim.
With wrong sides together, align two cover sides; pin. Stitch from the lower edge to the bag upper-edge point, as indicated on the cover-side pattern. Repeat to stitch the remaining cover sides.
With wrong sides together, stitch the cover base to the cover-side lower edges (B).

Insert the purse into the cover, aligning the side seams. Tie the two cover tails that align with the handles over the purse handle, and then tie the remaining cover tails to close the bag when in use.
