Scraps to Seashells

I enjoyed the article "Table Scraps" in the April/May issue. I can't use the pattern, though, because the place mats are rectangular and my dining table is round. To match my dining room furniture, I created a shell-shaped place mat using the same piecing technique as in your article. I lined it with a solid complementary fabric and bound the edge with 1"-wide bias binding. The place mat shapes fit my round dining room table beautifully.

Table mats for round tables

I love this idea. I have an oval table and so the heads of the table don't always fit. I can use this for the heads, and make straight for the sides. Thanks Pamela.

Trouble printing pattern

pattern is 11 x 17". Home printer is 8.5" Is there a soluation to printing complete pattern at home?

Terrific pattern

I have been collectiing denim to make the place mats. I even got a size 72 jeans, yes 72, at a bargan store to cut up and use. I took the 2 LARGE back pockets off and made a purse for my GD. I embroidered on it "MY POCKET BOOK" She loves it. I have shell design dishes so to make the shell shape placemats will be perfect for my table. Thanks tons.
