I just came back from Dallas, where I hosted a fashion show at Martha Pullen’s Martha’s Sewing Market. Baby Lock gave away a serger at the end of the night and over 500 people were in attendance. I showcased garments from past issues of Sew News and Creative Machine Embroidery, including tips and tricks for sewing success. Everyone really seemed to have a great time. And the woman who won the serger was just beside herself! She cried. It was like she had won a car! We all loved her.
Here I am preparing for the show, reading my note cards to brush up on the order of garments.
Here is our listing for the event in the program.
Here are our lovely models dressed in their first garments.
Here I am with Martha Pullen after the show–all smiles!
If you ever get a chance to attend a Martha Pullen event, I strongly encourage you to do so. She is a great lady full of personality. You’ll make friends for life and learn a lot to further your sewing skills at the great classes that are available.
