I’ll admit it: I’m more than a little bit addicted to shopping. Especially bargain shopping! Hunting for deals on fabric, buttons, patterns and books is both fun and inspiring. I love the satisfaction I get when I compare the cost of something I sewed to something similar in a store–not to mention all the fun I got to have while making it! To celebrate the art of bargain shopping, we’re offering an exclusive 20% off discount in our store to the first five people who answer the following burning question: What’s your favorite place to find sewing bargains?

I like to shop for bargain fabric in the red tag home dec department of Jo Anns. I love to make my daughter and nieces little zippered bags and totes for lip balm and tissues, or ballet shoes etc! The home dec fabric makes a nice, firm lining and I use novelty fabric on the outside – currently Fancy Nancy is the favorite!
