Dear Readers,
The entire Sew News editorial staff attended the Rocky Mountain Sew Expo in Denver, CO, a couple of weeks ago and we had a great time! Here’s the lay of the land:

We sat in on a few seminars, learned a few new tricks, and found some great new products to feature in the magazine.
Here’s the view as we entered:

As soon as we arrived, Kari’s name was chosen out of a hat to receive a door prize! Here she is with the winning ticket. A lucky first-timer!

One of the greatest products we discovered while at the Expo is this amazing lint lifter, which was featured in a recent issue of Quilter’s Newsletter magazine. It doesn’t use any sticky paper! You just roll it over your sewing room floor, or sweater, or whatever, and magically wash away the debris under running water! Environmentally friendly and fun to use! We all bought one because, well…we all have pets! And we all sew and know what happens to vacuums after trying to clean the sewing room floor….Here’s a photo with us and the lady who gave us the great demo!

If you’ve never been to a local sewing show (and I assure you that your town has one), I highly suggest that you go and see for yourself how much fun you can have in one day!
Stay tuned for an account of the American Sewing Guild Conference in Albuquerque! (I just need to get the photos off of my camera!)
Ellen
