Spring is finally here! Although fall and winter are my favorite seasons, I appreciate spring because it’s a time of renewal, color and life. I also love the warm days and cool nights. But most of all, I love the spring snowstorms of Colorado.
Growing up here, I learned that it’s never a good time to put away your sandals or snow boots, despite what the weather tells you. Today it might be snowing, but tomorrow could be 85.
The last few days have been crazy. On Monday it was 65 degrees outside and I was riding my bike in a T-shirt. On Tuesday night it was snowing so hard it took me almost an hour to get home. Yesterday the office was closed due to blizzard conditions in the morning, but the afternoon was so warm there was hardly a trace of snow.
Check out these pictures of our recent storm:
I can’t believe this was only yesterday! Today is sunny and beautiful and the snow is almost all gone.
It’s not unheard of in Colorado to have heat, snow and rain all within one day. That’s why we always keep our sweaters next to our T-shirts and our shorts alongside our fleece pants. If anything, the unpredictable weather keeps us on our toes, whether we’re wearing sandals or snow boots.
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?
