What has been your favorite Sew News project this year and why?
I LOVE the ‘office manager’ in the April/May issue! I’ve made quite a few of these since April. My teen daughter wanted one to hang beside her desk, then my husband wanted one for work, my Mom wanted one for her kitchen and I have one in my sewing room. I have plans to make a few for office Christmas gifts. I really like to use my sewing time wisely, usually making myself clothing or home dec, the occasional quilt etc.

I like the Summertime Skirt in the June/July 2011 issue. I always find projects in every issue that I want to make.
I am a long time subscriber and I don’t know how to choose just one. I usually have one favorite in every issue.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE PHOTO MAILER. IT MAKES A GIFT OF A FEW PHOTOS TO BE A TRUELY HANDMADE TREASURE. LOVE IT!!!
The weekender tote from February 2010. LOVED the “unmatched” fabrics, gave me the motivation to use a variety of fabrics. Fun and large tote!
Like the “organizer” projects like “Office Manager” (April/May 2011) and the “Made-to-Order Organizer” (December 2010/January 2011). Also the tips on making a Roman shade in the December/January issue.
I love the seasonal forecasts and the totes and purses!
Purses and totes are the best. Who doesn’t need purses, wallets, and tote bags? They make great gifts and are quick to make.
I loved curves ahead and know my grand would love. I hope to try soon.

My favorite idea is the reversible raincoat. I am thinking of doing a reversible coat/jacket with a liner/vest with extra (hidden) pockets. One side warm, one side rain-repellent, with decorative buttons/to attach a warm liner/vest
I just got my first issue yesterday so I haven’t made anything yet. I’m thinking about the cloche in wool felt and I love your color choice.
I’d say Made for Shade in the June/July 2011 Issue. As a nudist, I am out in the sun a lot and need sun protection.

I have been reading your magazine since before it was a magazine and it was only like a newspaper. I think it might have been in the late 80′s i have kept all of the magazines and gave all the newspaper ones to a sewer in Florida. I am sorry now but I have enjoyed Sew News for many years. I also have given subscriptions to many folks for christmas. every one said what a welcome gift to get and to give. I must say this year has been about the most informed of all the years that Ican remember. Every page has something new and exciting. Please keep up the good work. I hope I will be able to enjoy you all for a few more years. Thank you again for the journey thru your hard work and for the lovely magazine.

I would have to say i LOVED the “pattern play” now I cant make a pattern without playing with it first!
