How to applique!
I love some of the fun summer fashion that has smocking or multiple elastic gathers at the waist. I would LOVE to see some techniques on how to do these, especially if it can be done on the sewing machine!

Some up-cycling or re-purposing using easy sewing techniques for boys. There are tons of ways to make cute dresses for girls out of T-shirts, pillowcases, etc. but there has to be a way to do some clever stuff for boys as well.

I would love to see serger techniques, particularly gathering and attaching a ruffle.
I could use some binding techniques.
Information on making / decorating pillows. And perhaps a section on things to make for those with cancer. I make breast cancer pillows, breast cancer drainage tube bag, a seat belt pillow (for those with chemo ports) and also for heart patients, “cough” pillows for heart patients, turbans for chemo patients who lose their hair, etc. Would like to add other ideas to my patterns.
I would like to see 3 dimensional applique with quilting. In particular, various ways to attach items to flat quilt background so they blend continuously to the quilt as a whole. Clever binding/finishing techniques would always be nice to learn.
Creative ways to use your odd fabrics
I’d love to see some featured fine ready-to-wear showing uses of machine embroidery. You could parallel with some sewing patterns and comparable machine embroidery patterns. The point would be that we can use embroidery to be as stylish as anybody else out there. I believe it, but I would love to see the encouragement and ideas for it.
I’d love to learn some “French hand sewing by machine” techniques!
I would like to see reverse applique.
I would like to have a lesson on how to stitch in the ditch and have it look wonderful the first time around without having to handstitch everything first! I have sewn many things but this technique I cannot seem to master.
Anything baby related since I’m waiting for first grandson in December (Have 5 granddaughters already, very excited to be looking forward to a boy!)
I’d love to see some episodes on pattern making/drafting/designing, pattern altering , different types of seams, and tailoring.
