No, I haven’t made clothing yet. I repair my clothing as needed. ; )

I love to recreate things into new things. My latest project was a skort from my daughters closet that she never wore, into a cute denim skirt with a litte embroidery on the front!
What a wonderful resource. I hope I win it.
I purchase sheets from my local Goodwill and use them for backing on my quilts. I use shower curtains and sheets that I purchase to sew quilts, duvet covers, appliance covers, and vests.
My wardrobe is mostly upcycled and redone thrift store finds! I am very petite and have a terrible time finding new items that fit me, and the price! Oh My! This way I don’t spend much money (either on fabric or buttons) to have a new outfit!
yes I try to. I think it is a waste to not reuse lace or other things you can find on garments at flea markets or other resale stores.
I like to buy items at the thrift stores because sometimes the fabric is great quality especially some of the older cottons. It is always fun to create something from a garment that is your own design.
I hadn’t even thought of it….what a GREAT idea! I’ll be visiting the nearest thrift store a.s.a.p.!
