Free Stuff Friday!

Tomorrow is the first day of October and already the leaves are changing and the weather is cooling down. This time of year makes me want to cuddle up in a comfy pair of pajamas and watch a movie. What could be better? How about making your own pjs out of a cute flannel print?

    I helped my mother make a pair for me once, when I was really little. I don’t think I was much help. :-)

    Yes, pajamas are one of my favorite items to sew. I’ve sewn them for myself, my husband and children. I like working with flannel and being able to alter the pattern for individual fit.

    I have never stitched my own PJs, but I have ruined a few by trying to dye them a different color. I would love this book!

    For my first sewing project, I made pj bottoms however, I have never made a top. If I won this book, there wouldn’t be any excuse for me not to make a top. ;-)

    I made pjs for my children when they were little. When my daughter was getting married I made pj bottoms to match for her and my son in law that were Elvis themed, added Elvis DVDs and popcorn for as a gift!!

  17. Yes, I have made satin pjs with lace collar and pocket inserts. Also, I have made long and shortie pjs from thermal weave fabric which are comfortable and warm.

    Wow, good question. I can’t say as I have made my own PJs, but I’ve been wanting to make some for myself and my daughter. The book would be a great help!

    I never made my own pj’s, but I made them for my grandchildren and they loved them. I will definitely get the Pajama Book. Love those pj’s

    I have made so many that I can not count. My mother always had me sewing them when I was young. I think sewing pj’s is a good learning to sew project. Easy and fun to sew.

    Yes! I’ve made lots of PJ’s for my daughters and myself, including matching Christmas print flannel bottoms that we wore on Christmas morning. Would love to have this book!

    I was teaching two little girls to sew pajama pants and they insisted I had to make a pair along with them. They are pink with glow-in-the-dark lips on them and they are used as a decoration in my Studio. Last winter I made pajama pants out of flannel patchwork fabric and a top out of pink interlock knit. the pants are very warm and heavy. It is almost cold enough to start wearing them.

    I’ve made PJ’s for gifts before. They are the perfect gift to sew for someone else as the fit is a little forgiving. Thanks for the opportunity to win – I have a bin of flannel that needs to be sewn up!

    Yes, I have made PJ bottoms for my family members as well as myself. I got fancy this year and added a draw string as well as an elastic waistband:)

    YES! I have made my own pj’s. I made mine out of flannel and they were wonderful on those cold winter nights. They were great!!

    I have not sewn pajamas. I do have 4 yards of flannel in my stash plus pajama patterns that I bought to make pajamas. I just have not gotten around to sewing a pair of pajamas.
