Hi All,
I’ve been back from Fall Quilt Market in Houston for some time, and am JUST now getting to post this blog with a few (very few) photos from the show floor.
This was my first Quilt Market with a baby in tow, so there was a lot to get used to! He didn’t accompany me on the floor, but he was waiting in the hotel for feedings throughout the day. Needless to say, I’m getting used to the whole juggling/motherhood/work thing.
Here is Dillon with the lovely Nancy Jewell from Westminster Fibers.
But enough about my baby! I’m sure you want to know about all the latest and greatest products unveiled at this year’s market.
TONS of kiddo fabric collections were everywhere, plus a bunch of licensed fabrics that would make great baby quilts. Here is the Dr Seuss collection from Robert Kaufman.
And I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the Cat in the Hat:
There were also a slew of new patterns–mostly for kid’s clothing–suitable for quilting cottons, of course.
There were new notions from Clover, new books from Martingale, C & T Publishing, Interweave, Landauer and more. We’ll be unveiling our picks from the show in upcoming issues of Sew News and Creative Machine Embroidery. Don’t miss them!
Very nice post. I simply stumbled upon your weblog and wished to say that I’ve really loved surfing around your blog posts. After all I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I am hoping you write once more very soon!
All sorts of fun kid’s stuff! I might have to go to the show next year. Can’t wait to see everything!
