I would like to share a story with you about one of the projects in Vol. 2 which for such a small project it had a HUGE impact!!!!!! Smart Storage”…….at the time my craft room was a drab room!!!! It had an unpainted concrete floor; unpainted cabinets of which 3 of these Cabinets had NO DOORS. Even the sheetrock walls were unpainted. Sitting in the middle was an old scrapbooking desk of my daughters (the modular type…..ie just a big pile of mostly cubes with slide in narrow shelves), some closet storage items which had found there way there as unwanted in the closet, an old library card file so deep in dust you could not really tell what it was along with a lot of other “relics” previously in my parents home (now deceased), not quite knowing what to do with them yet not ready to let go of them. Even the walls were even just bare sheetrock. I make LOTS of your storage containers in various sizes and used co-ordinating ones in the cabinet where there were no doors, then made a smaller version for the desk…….rearranged the desk to make a sewing desk with lots of “smart storage” for all my tools then after shortening the desk length by putting cubes back to back I had a large cutting area (plus my counter top over cabinets) Everything is the same height, countertop, which is great as my chair is on rollers so I can just roll from one are to the other. Previously I almost hated to go into the room it looked so helpless & purchasing that many matching baskets was out of the question due to the cost. Your articles helped me take an unwanted drab room into a beautiful quiet sanctuary of my own, I decorated in hues of blue and white mostly with just a few dabs of other for color. It is so peaceful I now LOVE spending time there!!! Wow, thanks so much for the GREAT Projects!!!!! I still can’t believe that mostly just for the price of a magazine issue I got a GREAT ROOM!!!!!

I do have those issues and looked through some of the ‘memory’ section…but I like them ALL! Each project and idea has a unique character that I love about it. I would love to have all THREE volumes!

  19. I like the crumb catcher in vol. 2! I can’t wait to see vol. 3!!

I especially like to comments I get with my ‘Scarf Necklace’. I picked up Vol 2 the evening before our monthly dinner. That afternoon I set out to make the scarf using an out-of-date necklace that has been sitting in my jewellery box for well over 30 years. It was layers of chain and many times I had thought of sending it to GoodWill. In no time at all I had a show stopper for my outfit.
Now it is resurected in my ‘Scarf Necklace’ and I get nice comments each and everytime I wear it. It definitely adds the umph to my tops.
