Thanks to all for the great DIY kit ideas. Wouldn’t it be so nice to not have to run around for all the supplies to a project and just be able to buy one big bag with everything you need?
The winner of the BurdaStyle Sewing Handbook is Roberta B. for her answer, “I think a jacket kit would be great. A nice structured jacket to learn or re-learn techniques.”

How many times have you wounded yourself with a pin?
This should be good…
Winner will be announced tomorrow along with our last prize!

Way too many times!
I have lost count how many times I have stuck my self with a pin! It is a great project if I don’t get blood spots on it! Incidentally, I have also sewed over my fingers several times…….talk about an owie!
pin pricks come with the territory, if you sew you get pin pricks
Too many times to mention…Thousands, maybe millions.
I lost count years ago. When I am working with white fabrics, I keep hydrogen peroxide handy.
I have wounded myself so many times that I have just accepted it as part of the hobby My husband is totally freaked out when he finds a pin or needle in the floor, he is sure it can kill him if he steps on it!!
Wow, I am always poking myself with pins, no matter how careful I am. I have finally wised up and use safety pins on something I will be trying on. I am also always checking for blood on my projects…I poke myself at least a dozen times a day. The clips are a fantastic idea. Thanks for the giveaway
Way too many to count!
Everytime I pin up pants to hem, I have pin marks all over my fingers.
Too many to count!
probably once a week
Whoa…in the last 50 yrs… which is how long I’ve been sewing.. I’d estimate around 233,999 times! =) Wonder I have any fingertips left!
I fortunately haven’t gotten stuck by a pin because a sewing teacher from long ago taught me industrial sewing techniques which save time by eliminating the use of pins.
I can’t count how many times. Must be None.
I don’t think that numbers go up that high. If I’m not stabbing my fingers, I’m reaching across a pinned article and wind up with it attached to my arm or wrist or….sometimes I lean across and wind up with a pin in my upper torso area which SHOULD NEVER BE acquainted with ANY pin! I’m starting to think that my magnetic personality is drawing those pins into my orbit!
Oh the times ive said ouch:-(
I have poked myself many times over the years. Too many to count!
tmtc
I can’t sew without poking my fingers with a pin! Can’t count the number of times I’ve done it in over 50 yrs. And I always manage to draw blood-more like harpooning than poking!
today none.but just ready to go finish one last purse for a friends daughter,so i am expecting to have a few under my breath words today for those pesky little stabbers.
It would be depressing to even try to count…in the past year alone…..have a few wounds now left over from a bulky quilting project that I was binding just last week which had way more pins in it that I usually use! I don’t use a lot of pins most of the time, but those long quilting ones are wicked!
More times then should be allowed. The last one was stepping on a pin after I dropped the jar on carpet.
I’m clumsy… it happens on a regular basis.
I’ve wounded myself at least 10 times with a pin.
Way to many times to even count
well, let’s see, how long have pins been around. that’s probably how many times. ouch!
Ouch no more
