My favorite thing to make is tote bags. They are so cute and easy!!
i was in Jo Ann Fabrics the other day and a woman there was buying all kinds of one yard pieces of material, she told me she got this book! One yard wonders and just loves it! now i want the book too! i make all kinds of things, from dolls, wall hangings to totes. i could always use some more ideas!

Small tote bags or cloth napkins.
PIllow covers and maybe a table or dresser mat to match!
I love to make bags for my shop, and sometimes pants for my little guys with 1 yard of fabric 8^)

Whenever I have an extra yard of fabric, I make headscarves for chemo patients. I make up 10 or 20 and take them to the cancer center at the hospital. They have a bin that patients can pull from when they start to loose their hair. I do this in honor of one of my sisters who is a 2 year cancer survivor.

Maybe the question should be, “What can’t you make from one yard of fabric?” Have 5 young grandchildren, so of course, love to sew for them, whether it be shorts, skirts, bags, doll clothes, pillows or whatever. Also love to just buy random yards of fabric to make scrappy quilts.
