Sew it All TV 13 Days of Giveaways-Day 6!

Thanks to everyone for participating in Day 5 of Sew it All TV 13 Days of Giveaways to celebrate the 3rd season of Sew it All airing on PBS!

Yesterday we asked, “What closures do you use most in your projects?”

I must say, I do love the decorative element buttons add to garments, but sometimes a zipper is just so much easier! (Sometimes) And exposed zippers, especially colored ones, can add great detail and interest to clothes.

Congratulations to Dorothy Baysore, who won a copy of Cathie Filian’s book, 101 Snappy Fashions: Oodles of one-piece designs for babies, for her comment, “Zippers for children’s clothing. I prefer a button and loop closure in back.”

Thanks everyone for your comments! Congratulations to our winner; please email with your mailing address to receive your prize!

  8. Sue Haver says:

I haven’t made any at all. I don’t get a PBS station at my house. I wish I did. So, I have to rely on the Facebook posts and links for inspiration. I WANT MORE!!!

  9. Janice Peterson says:

Found out about the program when I started to get my subscription(which I love by the way) So I contacted PBS here in the Atlanta area, and they got back to me saying “no we do not carry it, and it is not in the future but will send my request to the programmers” So… I could use this program being a beginner self taught sewer.

  10. Sophia Egler says:

We actually don’t have a tv (by choice). I will have to check out Netflix and see if they have it. Don’t know why I didn’t think of it before! I have, however, checked out the bonus projucts on the website, and the Mail Collector project looks so simple and very doable!

I haven’t made any projects from your show yet because I just recently found you. I had only local antenna TV for years and just recently got a satellite dish. Thanks for the giveaway.

  21. Tambra Vandal says:

Have not been able to work on any projects this week. My precious Granddaughter had fell off the Monkey bars at school on Monday & really did a job at breaking her arm, which required her to have to go through surgery to repair it. So here I have been at the Hospital with her since Monday, & is where I want to be untill she goes home. But as soon as she’s well enough to go home I’m going to go straight home to my sewing machine and make something lovely for her.

  22. Liz Kuennen says:

I have been busy trying to get all my UFO’s done so I have not made any projects yet but I am looking forward to playing with chenille and hope to make some scarfs for next year’s Christmas gifts as well as some bowls made from the threads you featured some time ago. Also, we have some friends who will be moving in with us soon due to finances. Their two girls have struggled with finding clothing that is nearly free that the kids at school do not make fun of so I am hoping to teach them to sew and using many of your upcycle ideas to re-make clothes from the local clothing pantry and thrift store. Thanks for all the ideas!

  23. Cheryl says:

Sorta new here & I didn’t know that I could watch this show! Will be watching this Saturday & I am sure that I will be hit the sewing bug for a first project :)

  24. I can’t get that station in my area, but so wish I could.

I have a long list of things I want to make. Now if time was on my side….
