Started hand embroidery when I was about 8 or 9. Always loved it, especially cross stitch. Then did lots of counted cross stitch. Don’t do much these days, but still enjoy it because it is so relaxing, not to mention rewarding.
Embroidery is the first fiber art I learned…think I was 6 years old. Continue to enjoy it.
Have done cross stitch but that is all. Would like to learn h.ow to hand embroidery
Started hand embroidery at a very young age. Mainly do machine embroidery now, but occasionally do hand embroidery too!
Occasionally on quilt wall hangings.
I cross stitch and have recently taken to embroidery! I love all the Sublime Stitching patterns!
I try to do hand embroidery but lets say I need a little help to make the results look like the picture in my mind…
Yes I have been hand embroidering forever! I think I was about 7 or 8 when I started!
Hand embroidery was the first needle craft I learned and I love it!! I always have a project going and one or more on the side.
I do hand -embroider and cross stitch; mostly on crazy quilts now !
I have done crewel and cross stitch for many years. Would love to learn hand embroidery. How about those embroidery machines! Saw one the other day for 10 g’s.
I have been hand embroidering since I was in 4-H as a child. I still do some as well as counted cross stitch. Love doing both.
Yes. Took a crazy quilt class last year. I have a redwork style quilt I’m working on now.
Absolutely
No but maybe I should give it a try
No, but I’d like to learn
Oh my word yes! I used to embroider on jeans, and work shirts and overalls and white navy tops and anything that did not move! Houses, with trees and yards and flowers. Button flowers and ribbon and whatever else I could dream up. I miss the early 70′s.
I know this is hard to believe, but at age 72 I am just learning to embroidery. At age 60 I learned to hand stitch quilts. 5 years later I started to learn sewing, taking a couple classes at a local school. Now, I am venturing out, and learning to hand embroider has me very excited. If I win this will be my first embroidery book. Thanks for the chance to win it.
Haven’t done much hand embroidery in years. I have an embroidery sewing machine. I do lots of machine embroidery!
That is on my bucket list, this would be just the book I need!
I find it easier to do machine embroidery these days. I love it!
I tried it some time ago but didn’t do very well. Maybe I’ll try it again.
I started my needlework journey with hand embroidery. Haven’t done much lately, but I’m enjoying all the new interest I’ve been seeing.
I’ve done quite a bit of cross stitch to include some embroidery for embellishment and would love to learn more!
Yes, I used to love to work on counted cross-stitch but now I am embellishing my quilt projects with hand embroidery, such a fun way to personalize your work.
I occasionally hand embroider as an embellishment.
Not yet.

I learned to do basic embroidery stitches when I was a kid. These days, I like to embroider on linen and then incorporate the stitchery into small projects like zip pouches or totebags.
Hand embroidery was the first needlework I ever did. My grandmother taught me when I was a child. I remember when my daughter was 2 I started a piece for her room. It was a pretty Holly Hobby piece. I actually finished it when I went in to the hospital to have my second child! We were in the hospital for three days so I had plenty of time to finish it. When I got home I framed it and hung it on her wall. I still have the piece and will give it to her in June when she has her baby girl.
Yes. It’s great to take when visiting my mom or riding in the car.
