I seem to always need hand-sewing needles–where do mine all go? Do I lose them in the carpet when I hand-sew sitting on the floor? All I know is, I am constantly searching my sewing room for one when I need it!
To enter for a chance to win these sewing supplies, simply answer the following question in the comments section below:
What sewing supplies are you always in need of?
Good luck and Happy Easter! The winner will be announced on Monday!

I’m always going through pins. They bend so easy I have to throw them away. Always buying new packs.
I always need fray check, hand or sewing needles, thread. I use alot of these supplies. I have been sew news subscriber since it first came out & gave them all to a new sewer friend. Awesome magazine!
I echo the comments about the hand sewing needles. Where do they go?? I somehow also lost my magnetic pincushion. It’s here in my house somewhere, but I can’t find it!!
I always need to buy more thread, and bobbins for my sewing machine. I sew a lot, and never seem the have the exact shade of thread to match the fabric, so I have to buy a new spool of thread. Then, of course, I need to fill a new bobbin with the new matching thread. Next problem is how to store all those spools of thread and bobbins!
I’m always looking for my scissors. The small ones for my hand work.
Pins! It seems like I am always going thru my pins looking for the ones that aren’t bent.
Rotary cutter blades. A good sharp blade can be elusive!
I agree with pins being a hot commodity but in my sewing area I am always searching for a pair of thread snipping scissors. I have at least 3 and yet I still struggle to find even one when I sit down to work on a project.
Always looking for the right size hand sewing needle. Other items seem to follow are just the right scissors for trimming embroidery and cutting out cut work.
The hand sewing needles never stay where I leave them! : )
And the glue stick always seems to be dry (did I leave that cap off??)…
Can’t live without my sharp scissors and a ruler or tape measure.
yes, hand sewing needles
Size 12 machine needles. Always running out of them.
Time is the most important item that I need. Grandchildren keep me busy.
Next comes thread, machine needles, lace and ribbon to match material.
I’m always looking for my measuring tape. I therefore stash one in several places in the house.
I can’t live without my seam ripper, snips and magnetic pin tray.
It is needles that I can’t keep up with. Hope no one finds them in their foot.

Accurate ruler.
I need a new rotary cutter!
I’m always in need of seam rippers! I seem to misplace them all the time (they’re so small!) and the ones I do find are dull and difficult to use.
I’m always in need of disappearing ink sewing markers. I keep buying them, and they keep disappearing from my sewing basket after a couple of uses. I have no idea what happens to them!
I am always losing pins. seems I have a habit of cutting things out and not finishing them.
No idea if this is already over….I never seem to have any useful needles, the ones that are useful to whatever project I’m working on disappear constantly! I love the needle sampler.
I seem to never have the right interfacing when I need it
Thread! It seems no matter how many spools of thread I have, I never have the right color!
