Free Stuff Thursday Winner!

Hello readers, welcome to Monday! I hope it’s not too rough on you.

Thank you all for participating in Thursday’s special giveaway! Thursday’s prize was this cool gadget: a Creative Textile tool from Walnut Hollow.

Use for fabric applique, pressing, embossing velvet, fusing braids, trims, threads and fibers, transferring images, stencil cutting and more! Includes a 750 degree tool, comfort grip, storage case and seven interchangeable heads.

In answer to our question, What is your favorite sewing tool? many (like me) seemed to always have their seam ripper in hand and wouldn’t know what to do without it. Though, as others pointed out, that usually means something was done wrong. Ah, well, live and learn!

Congratulations to our giveaway winner, Angela Cianfaglione, whose favorite tool is her tape measure! Please email sewnews@sewnews.com with your mailing address to receive your prize!

Have a great Monday!

Ah the seam ripper. Have destroyed a many of them (worn them out) and have gone to using the disposable scalpel. You see a seam ripper in my hands does not mean a mistake but taking a garment apart to make something more of it. I take our military uniforms and make items for their family members out of them.

Seam Ripper wins as most important and favorite tool. I probably have a dozen, even one that lights up. I keep one in my desk at work just in case. I would say its one of my most used and abused implements. Can’t and won’t work any project without it.
