On occasion I will take an old pair of jeans and make purses or quilts out of them. They don’t get thrown out at all, only the leftovers after cutting them down. Old jeans are also good to patch up holes in newer jeans! Thanks for the giveaway.
Oh no! Can’t believe I missed yesterday’s!!
I upcycle ALL THE TIME. The last thing I upcycled was my daughter’s shirt into a doll for her dollhouse. Unless you count papercrafts, in which case the last thing I upcycled was a JELLO box into a magnetic pencil holder for my daughter’s locker
For starters I am a huge upcycling nut! Here’s a pic I took awhile ago of my stash…mind you I filled the closet since I took the pic!

This is my last sewing upcycling project. I took old jeans and a vintage sheet and made this skirt!

I’ve recently committed to sew for quilts for valor, sewing quilts from the uniforms of a loved one who gave all seems a wonderful project to take on in between. Thanks for everything.
I love to upcycle worn out sweaters into mittens for winter. Adding fun lining that overlap as a cuff and maybe add a little embroidered embellishment. I also have used worn out sweatshirts as a canvas for quilted jackets.
I recently made myself a tunic using Lil Blue boo’s ladies tunic pattern & old tees. Love to upcycle!
I don’t upcycle. What’s the matter with me? Maybe I need to explore my options…
I upcycle neckties; I make purses out of them, use them in crazy quilts, and round table scarves. I also use old clothing, buttons, and old jewelry in my crazy quilt projects.
curtain valances into a handbag/tote
I made a stuffed animal from felted cashmere!
Felting wool sweaters to make a tote.
I don’t know that I have up cycled with sewing. I’ve repurposed old home decor and created something else. Always wanted to try it though!
I am making a crochet rug from old sheet strips, and have made a book bag from old jeans.
I’m making a rag quilt for my daughter out of her old receiving blankets
old t-shirts into bracelets!!!
I would love to learn how to up cycle. I just need some ideas!
