no, I am scared of lace!
I use lace to embellish a quilt project.
Yes. Made my daughters wedding gown.
I wanna win cool stuff to sew with.
I just made a blouse using lace inserts, I never used it before. I think I will try sewing with it again since the blouse sleeve inserts turned out so well. It really wasn’t as hard to work with as I thought it would be. I have a lot of old lace that I have collected over the years and I think it would add another level to the items I make.
Not so much any more. My grand daughters are teenagers and are pretty fussy about what they wear. Sometimes I try to slip lace into a pillow case or so.
Yes, I have incorporated lace into a few projects, pillows. clothes and crazy quilt blocks. Thanks for this wonderful giveaway and congrats to the winners!
I probably buy lots more lace than I use, but I’ve always dressed up basic store-bought clothing with lace.
Yes…I sew heirloom dresses by machine and hand for my 3 great nieces…and a 4th one on the way!
I would say I use lace only occasionally. Probably because I am not sure where to add it or what type of lace is best for my application.
Your book would be a huge asset to have in my library of sewing resources. As a self taught sewer, and now teacher I know my students would greatly benefit from it too.
Thank you for offering me the opportunity to win this book.
I am going to be sewing a jr-sr dress that has lace. The lace came in yesterday, and the dress has to be done in 2 weeks. Yikes!
not on a regular basis. Did make a T-cardigan with a piece of bolt lace. It is a fun thing to wear.
Yes, years and years ago but I’d like to try again
I have added lace to garments I made several years ago but have not done so in a long time. I may have to consider working with lace again.
I do not think I have sewn with lace, but have my nieces wedding coming up and would love to make her a few things to remember her special day by ex. ring pillow, embroidered bag and towels. Learning how to sew with lace would only compliment these items.
I have never sewn with lace. I’ve seen a few episodes that used lace and it would be a nice addition to some patterns.
I have five granddaughters. Lace is definitely a part of my sewing projects, whether it’s embellishment or a complete overlay for an outfit.
I made a gown for the Marine Corps Ball several years ago. The inner layer was a soft lining fabric and the outside layer was all lace. (But I was thinner then and it was easier. LOL)
I have not sewn much the last 10-15 years, but now I have the time and am anxious to start back. My experience with lace was strictly lace trim on little girls dresses and petticoats. Would love to try some of the lace garments I see in retail stores!
Yes with 2 daughters and a granddaughter I have sewn with lace.
I have mostly used lace as an edging
Yes. I love to sew with lace.
I make baby and doll blankets and put lace use it to decorate them..
I have sewn a lot with lace when I was making wedding gowns, now I use lace when I sew holiday dresses for my granddaughter.
I use lace now and then but would like to use it more often
I love lace!
Long story short. I am the recipient of 13 bolts of lace. Other than making a few dresses for my grandchild, I am hard pressed to come up for uses for them. I will be watching this closely. I am a subscriber to Sew News, the paper magazine, as well.
I’ve used lace on pillows. Not as difficult as I thought it would be and the result is so cool I can hardly believe I did it myself.
I have not machine-sewn with lace for a long time. I do love things with lace on them and purchase many lacey items. I have made evening bags from previously-loved bras and added lace to these beautiful bags. All proceeds from my evening bags go to breast cancer research. I love this show and DVR it each week – so I have quite a library of helpful hints now. I’m looking forward to the new season.
I’ve new to sewing and am very intimidated by lace
I used to use lace in home dec projects yrs ago and also when my daughter was young. I have grandaughters now so I need to get back at it. Would appreciate the info.
