I like sewing with soft flowing knits, mostly to make Infinity Scarves.
I am new to sewing with serger and have only tried cotton jersey knits. I would be excited to try that paattern with a rayon or nylon (silky) kniy.
I don’t know if polar fleece is considered a knit, but I am hooked on it! The Kwik Sew pattern may be just the thing to get me to try sewing knits. I have sewn other thing using Kwik Sew patterns and love them.
It’s been a while since I’ve sewn with knits. In the past I made a lot of long sleeve t-shirts and polo shirts. Looking forward to sewing with knits again.
I sew with all types of knits, and use them for all types of sewing. I make leggings for my girls, fun comfortable skirts and shirts, Cute scarfs, and let’s not forget t-shirts and doll clothes. Knits are loads of fun and sew great to use.
I like sewing with the soft rayons also, they fit nicely and are comfortable. My grandmother made all her dresses out of knit jersey. Loved the way they felt, so soft and cool.
I just got a serger and I have been experimenting with cotton knits making infinity scarves and bed buddies. I would like to expand my repetoire. I love the serger and hope you have it featured in some of your episodes.
Cotton knits are my favorite — they’re the most comfortable for me to wear year round.
I love sewing knit pants with pontaroma or sophia knits the Evolution makes it sew easy.
I love using jersey knits to make soft tops for work.
When I can find it, I prefer rayon. Virtually impossible to find in my neck of the woods.
I haven’t sewn a lot of knits. But what I’ve used has mostly been cotton with a little lycra.
I love using knits to do scarves (mostly for practice!).
I perfer cotton knits. I know I don’t like to work with ruffle knits.
Jersey knits are nice and comfy!

When I have used rayon knits for loose fitting blouses. The knits seem to look better on the finished garment. I am not that good at doing skirts with knits, I just don’t make that many skirts to master them. (: I like bright colored knits that can be dressed up or dressed down, depending on the mood and/or occasion.
