Sew it All TV 13 Days of Giveaways! Day 2: Win Getta Grip Clips & Sewline Aqua EraserNow, onto today’s giveaway and sneak peak at Sew it All TV season 7. I was lucky enough to shoot an episode with the always delightful Ellen March. We used a fabric painting technique that involved crayons, sandpaper and heat. You’ll have to catch the episode to get all the details or visit after March 1, 2014 to read about this exciting technique.

Prizes 241x300 Sew it All TV 13 Days of Giveaways! Day 2: Win Getta Grip Clips & Sewline Aqua EraserToday I am giving away some of my favorite sewing tools and items that came in handy when sewing the coasters I made for the show. There were several layers of fabric, and one was vinyl that I didn’t want to pierce with pins. While it is possible to just pin in the seam allowance, it was exceptionally helpful to use the Getta Grip Clips to hold all the layers together while I stitched. Additionally, the Sewline Aqua Eraser is a fantastic tool to use when erasing marks from fabric. Discovering a way to safely remove pencil marks keeps me worry free when prepping a project.

  1. Mine is a very small pair of scissors I bought at an Sewing Expo. It has VERY POINTED, THIN blades and is the best ripper I’ve ever used and I’ve been sewing for 70 years.

I discovered a chalk marking tool that has made a huge difference for me. It was in the quilters aisle, and it’s a roller filled with chalk dust. It leaves a fine line of chalk wherever you roll it. It’s so great for dark fabrics and it just sweeps away with a brush of your hand or a piece of paper. I love it!

  3. Faith K says:

My favorite sewing tool is light. I have overhead lights and some task lighting so I can see what I’m doing and make less mistakes.
