It’s lucky day 7 in the Sew it All 13 Days of Giveaways! Yesterday we asked you to share your first sewing project, and we randomly selected two winners from all of the great responses to win a FREE class from our guest and friend Vanessa Wilson of Crafty Gemini. The lucky winners are Jaydeen C. and Alisha S.! Congratulations, and please check your email to find out how to claim your fabulous prize!
Today we’re highlighting Episode 712 “Blanket Pillow,” featuring guest Stacy Schlyer of the great blog Stacy Sews. What’s a blanket pillow, you might ask? Well, it’s a very cozy throw that folds up into a cute pillow when you’re not using it (you can see fleece and faux fur examples folded up in the picture below). Clever, right? On the episode, Stacy shows how to make the blanket pillow, and also demonstrates how to embellish it with adorable machine embroidery accents.
So today, we have a wonderful prize package from Sulky to get you started with machine embroidery and embellishing. The prize includes a variety of stabilizers for different projects and fabric types, as well as spools of Blendables 12-wt. cotton thread, Holoshimmer thread and Metallic thread. What fun!
To enter, answer the following question in the comments section below: What is your favorite way to embellish your sewing projects?
We’ll randomly draw from all the entries and announce the winner on Monday. In the meantime, get inspired to embellish by checking out episode 611, featuring Sue Hausmann’s FREE instructions for making a customized tablet case.
