  1. Daya says:

My biggest pet peeve is when I run out of thread in the bobbin. :(

  2. Sharon says:

When someone brings something to be repaired/updated & I have to turn it around after working in the yard 4 hours & not knowing the entire j’s blanket.
My grand’s sleeping blanket needs both sided replaced. Has to be done so she can sleep with same night. I only got a picture. It will be done but not today. :-(

  3. Evelyn says:

My biggest pet peeve is when I inadvertently sew right side to wrong side instead of right sides together — it usually happens when I’m in a hurry, of course.

  4. Maria says:

My biggest pet peeve is having to rip something out to fix a mistake. In quilting it’s usually a small piece and it’s easier to just start fresh if I have enough fabric, so now I have a little pile of boo-boos that will get worked into a “kitchen sink” style quilt someday.

  5. lauren says:

Oh Yay!! I am a winner! So exciting! My pet peeve is loosing fabric that I just cut…. happens way too often!

  6. Quilting Tangent says:

Finding out that you measure wrong, after taken your time and double checking is my pet peeve. Always loved the look of nickel quilts, be great to have a book to tell me how to make them.

  7. Mary Mac says:

Just one pet peeve. Each one of the comments above is my pet peeve. I do hate running out of bobbin thread in the middle of a sewing.

  8. Lynn B. says:

My biggest peeve is when I mis-cut fabric for quilting. I once cut 1.5 yards into strips that were 1/4″ too narrow….. GRRRRRR…..

  9. Debbie says:

My biggest pet peeve is when I have to rip out a seam.

  10. brenda neely says:

my biggest pet peeve is myself! lol! I see so many wonderful things and don’t know where to start. so here i sit just pinning away and spinning my wheels! gotta get the motivation on! lol!

  11. Rona Smith-Coburn says:

It is really disappointing when my machine tension is too loose and I haven’t noticed until I’ve gotten to the end of the strip. It’s difficult to tear out stitched when you have to cross squares.

  12. Nancy C. says:

By far, my biggest pet peeve is running out of bobbin thread and not realizing it until I’m at the end of my piece!

  13. Elizabeth says:

I become a bit peeved, when I alter a bunch of tutus, and think I am all done, then find I have one more to finish. Egad!

  14. Virginia Rouer says:

running out of bobbin thread in the middle of a project ranks high on my list of pet peeves

  15. Joan Dreyer says:

While adjusting the tension on my serger, I grabbed a scrap of fabric, folded it in half and began serging through the middle of the scrap. Suddenly I realized the “scrap” was the facing of my dress in progress. Uffda! I had to stop sewing and cut a new facing. And yes, for some reason, I didn’t learn the first time.
