I had a bean bag type doll with a plastic head that had the bonnet on top. He was yellow and I called him “Greggie”. Don’t know where the name came from, but I do have an uncle named Greg, so perhaps that is some connection. I loved that doll! It also had a little flap on it’s rear end that opened up and exposed his bottom. I think they were quite popular in the 1970′s. I had the doll and kept it even into adulthood. Greggie had his own special box that I kept him in and I stored him in my old hope chest in my closet. Unfortunately, we had a fire after my daughter was born and lost nearly everything -Greggie included. I still have lots of fond memories with that doll. He was my friend and confidant and got me through many rough times in a difficult and unhappy childhood. RIP Greggie.. you are truly missed.
