Bar none, the best gift is a (day of quilting) class! I remember each and every one I ever took as a blessing! The opportunity to learn new techniques and apply the newly gained education is just so valuable. Sharing time with other quilters and learning new skills is so informative and inspiring. Best of all, you go home with new fabric and new ideas!

Yes I adore hand quilted or sewn gifts, receiving ‘em and always, giving them.
It’s so easy to personalize a purse or tote for that girl who has everything. I’ve seen more smiles on more faces from my hand quilted totes/bags. Love Amanda Jean’s Scrap Happy tote. That would be a great gift for me:)

  16. QuiltSue says:

I think a quilter would appreciate anything that was hand made just for them.

  18. Lauralee Hensley says:

I always think a homemade lap quilt is a nice gift for a quilter, or a quilted sweater with three quarter length sleeves. Things they can wear or use to keep warm on wintery nights when they are doing hand sewing touches to their own quilts, or when sewing at the machine.

  19. Carol W says:

I love giving gifts I’ve made, and made little zipper bags for coworker gifts this year.

  20. Linda L. says:

Now I would say the best gift is fabric but, when my kids were little, someone taking them out for an afternoon so I could devote my attention to a project with picky details was much appreciated. I try to pass that gift on to young mums whenever I can. Plus I have a lot of fun with the little people for a few hours!
