Singer Dress Form Actual prize may differ in color.

Take your sewing to the next level by using a sturdy dress form. Goes without saying how useful having a dress form is. Plus, one that is adjustable and can be used for multiple body types is beyond handy for the avid seamstress.

An ideal sewing companion, this fully adjustable dress form allows for pattern adjustments before cutting, better fittings and alterations, and an opportunity to creatively work with fabrics and see how they will drape and hang on the body. Twelve dials make it easy to change the dimensions of the body, including settings at the neck for smooth collars and necklines.

The height also adjusts, and a hem gauge comes included to mark the hemline for skirts and dresses. In addition, the unit’s blue fabric cover makes it possible to pin items onto the form. The form requires basic assembly, but no tools are required.

Measurements:

  • Bust: 33 – 41 inches / 84 – 104 centimeters
  • Waist: 25 – 33 inches / 64 – 84 centimeters
  • Hips: 36 – 44 inches / 91 – 112 centimeters
  • Neck / Back: 15+ inches / 38+ centimeters

All you have to do to enter to win this prize is answer the following question in the comments section below:

“What is the hardest area to fit for you?”

And, the winner from yesterday’s contest is Darlene J! Darlene I will be in touch with you shortly to tell you how to claim your prize.

Visit the Creative Machine Embroidery blog tomorrow to find out if you won today’s prize, and for another chance to win!

  1. Terry B says:

    Bust

  2. Sarah says:

The hardest place to fit for me is my short, curvy back. I end up having to size up, add length, and then dart in the front to compensate for my long abdomen. Needless to say, a dress form that suited my particular body would help tremendously!

  3. Anita Claiborne says:

I am a plus size lady so using a standard dress form doesnt work for me.

  4. Elizabeth Wilson says:

The shoulders. Especially for jackets. For some reason, they never allow for full range of motion. For swim wear, the suits are never long enough for me, even the XL sizes come up short.

  5. Shannon Gregorashuk says:

As with most “pear-shapes”definitely the hips!!

  6. rabeea says:

Hip area is the hardest to fit correctly.

  7. Kristi Richards says:

my difficult area is hips and thighs

  8. Debbie Wiese says:

my bust because it is so big compared to the rest of my body so I tend to sew more for other people.

  9. Jess Z says:

I always need to do a full bust adjustment and broaden my shoulders a bit.

  10. joyce says:

    Hips and waist

  11. Melissa says:

my bust is the hardest area to fit.

  12. kim says:

My bust is A so I have a hard time fitting a pattern.
I would LOVE to win this dress form as I sew for myself and my daughter.

  13. Dottie Garrison says:

I have a hard time with my waist / hip area; small waist, large hips. I have always wanted a dress form!

  14. Judy A. says:

Toss up between my shoulder/arm area and my abdomen/hip. Both areas are Not normal.

  15. Kora Thompson says:

My waist to hips and seat are the hardest to fit. My waist is almost half the size of my hips.

  16. Becky Yarnall says:

My bust is the hardest for me to fit. The girls aren’t proportional to the rest of me. I have been wanting a dress form for years! Thank you for doing this give away!

  17. vicki Lee says:

Over the years I seem to have misplaced my waist. If found, please return. Desperately missed.

  18. Christy Link says:

My hard to fit area is my bust. I am very short waisted with large breasts. A dress form would make it much easier to adjust!! Thanks!!!!

  19. Angeli Csutak says:

    the whole torso

  20. Tina Robinson says:

My stomach area and bust are the worst!!

  21. merna says:

    Hips and waist are hardest.

  22. Linzel McBride says:

I know it’s not Even Christmas yet, however, I have already made my New Years Resolution. (Btw, it’s the same every year.) I resolved to sew more! It is the only answer to finding age-appropriate, stylish and well made garments. A little inspiration wouldn’t hurt. :)

  23. Kristina says:

As others have said, the bust area is difficult for me, especially for fitted objects. Having a dress form would be a dream come true!

  24. My waist and hips are so mismatched it’s hard to make one fit without making the other look baggy and vice versa, one fit and making it impossible to do anything but stand in the outfit. Being able to fit a pattern onto dummy to get it just right for all of my parts would be heaven!

  25. Patty Sliney says:

Probably my waist and the crotch depth for me. I am high-waisted and long hipped, so often, store bought pants are to short in the crotch, even though I’m only 5’5″.

  26. Elizabeth Brits says:

From neck to hips. Whole body

  27. Darla Fox says:

I have a hard time fitting the armhole area.

  28. Jae Avenoso says:

It’s been on my wish list for years.

  29. MarciaW/NH says:

    hips and waist

  30. Anna May Dewar says:

I also do prom dress alterations along with bridal. It would help if I had a dress forum or two.

  31. Pam S says:

The waist to hip ratio is the hardest fit for me. A dress form work help immensely!

  32. The waist I don’t have one

  33. Pattie Giordani says:

Waist and hip area for sure!

  34. Karen Roberts says:

The waist – I have a very long torso and the waist line always ends up somewhere around my ribcage before lengthening! I also have a small waist compared to my hips and shoulders

  35. Bretta Cummings says:

Getting the waist/hips just right has always been the most difficult for me.

Just last week I was eyeing the pattern V8358 and wanting to make it for myself and started looking at forms. I quickly turned away because of the cost. This newly single Mom will have to wait for such a purchase until I have some extra money. My 3 girls club me first. #dreaming

  36. Alta Visser says:

Bust size is always a problem for me.

  37. Karen Tremonti says:

The hardest area to fit is the bust!

  38. Diana Godwin says:

The waist to hip is always a problem as I have a small waist & large hips. I also have to remember to add an extra inch to my back waist length. I am long bodied even though I am on 5 foot 2. Would love to have a dress form. Thanks for the chance.

  39. Karen Poole says:

My shoulders and upper back. I have spine issues so my upper back is hunched over and so the shoulders and upper back don’t fit right. I can’t wear button down without alterations!

  40. Jennifer Routt says:

I find fitting patterns to my bust size extremely difficult!

  41. Ali M says:

My shorter than average upper torso!

  42. Joan McCord says:

The dress form would help so much with the shoulder fit, which tends to be slightly rounded and with very wide shoulders, but a small chest. Taking a draping class very soon – !

  43. Donna D. says:

    The waist! Ugggh

  44. Deborah Elliott says:

    Waist and hips.

  45. michelle fleck says:

    oyyy- shoulders!

  46. Ruth miller says:

the hardest area to fit is my belly , I ways look preggo and I hate it! Nothing is flattering . Thousands of crunces later no help ., when I make clothes at least I can raise or lower the waste line or bring that out some so it’s not so tight..
10 top with a 15 waste that sucks!

  47. Roberta says:

    Shoulders

  48. Daria Piro says:

Shoulder to bust to waist. I’m short-waisted.

  49. Fran Pingel says:

Waist and hip area is what I have a hard rime fitting.

  50. Shellee Janze says:

The shouldersand my broad backmake this most difficult
