  1. Merry Herrera says:

Definitely 1940′s. WWII had the best tailored looks from fitted military garments, sleek women’s two piece dress suits to flair pants and fitted blouses. With an array of hats, gloves and peep show pumps. It was fashion at its best.

  2. Patricia says:

I was born in the 40′s and have been drawn to the styles of the 20′s through the 40′s, because of their distinctive looks. My Mom always strove to have the classic styles, because they stand the test of time. I’ve followed her example. What’s the new style today, is the fashion of yesterday. I love it!! The Vintage Bible would help to achieve those unique touches.

  3. Pam mallory says:

I would have to say the late 60s early 70. You had the fun colors, the mod hippie styles it was so much fun.

  4. Kris says:

Though I do love the 1950′s, I am most interested to look back at the 80′s. I was a kid then, and I want to know how that decade is perceived by others.

  5. Karen McKown-Arano says:

I love the looks from the mid 30′s-50′s but am more of a ’70′s (jeans & peasant skirt) wearer.

  6. Donna Lee says:

I love the 50′s clothing for both women and girls. Feminine, interesting details, and I think it’s mostly special because of the pictures I have of my sweet, sewing mom in her simply elegant dresses.

  7. Rebecca Peterson says:

I kind of like fashion elements from all the decades, even from before the 20′s. Since I have to choose one favorite, I’d have to pick the 70′s.

It was a mish-mash of styles that focused on everyone’s individuality. I have to admit there was a lot of tacky things in the 70′s but that’s what made it fun. Street fashion was not as categorized(?) looking as it is today, or even was prior to the 70′s. If you liked it, you wore it. This gave way to some very interesting outfits in my eyes. Groups of people still wore more conventional clothing of the time as well, but I feel the 70′s really was an important time in fashion.

  8. Sharon says:

I’m torn between the 20s and the 70s as my favorite fashion era, each for a different reason. I love the intricate beading of the 20s but adore the fun disco-era gowns of the late 70s!

  9. rosemary says:

I love the 1960s! I love the cut of the dresses, the hats- Jackie O- slim pants….
I love that women still wore dresses rountinely, but they also wore pants. I love the shoes and that women wore gloves. Great decade for fashion!

  10. quinetta lynch says:

    1930′s. I loved the silhouettes.

  11. rhonna says:

i have always adored the 50′s silhouettes, and now am getting into wearing a lot of 70′s shapes as well. thanks for the great giveaway!

  12. Ginger says:

My favorite is late 40′s-early 50′s. The styles were so lady like and elegant.

  13. Alisha S. says:

I love the 1940′s!! Classic lines, beautiful gowns and dresses. Hats, gloves, stockings and shoes. What’s not to love!!

  14. Jeannie says:

50′s! The silhouettes just suit my body so well.

  15. Patricia Hersl says:

I lived through the 60′s in my teens and now am ready to revisit. Some days it’s not fashion but the easiness of a muu-muu calling my name.

  16. Elizabeth Kuntz says:

I love the really feminine fashions of the 40s and 50s. I would love to see women embrace their femininity by dressing nicer when out and about instead of wearing pajamas to the store.

  17. I love you mod styles of the sixties and early seventies. The fun colors and geometric shapes make me happy! The fun styles pack a lot of punch without being overly fussy and I love that.

  18. dianna e holmes says:

    the elegance of the 1920′s

  19. Sue says:

I love the 1920s to 30s when silhouettes changed and the way women’s fashion changed course. The fabrics and details fascinate me.

  20. Liane Donnelly says:

1920′s. I love the beading, sequins, feathers and fringe!

  21. Shannon Harder says:

My favourite is the 1950′s. I love the classic “housewife” style, it always seemed so elegant yet comfortable (except for those damnable high-heels all the time!). I love the aprons, dresses, and jackets from that era, the bridge between the sleek “power” 1940′s and the mod 1960′s.

  22. Adrienne Simpson says:

If you’re talking about a 10-year span, my favorite would be from 1935 to 1945, but if you mean a decade starting with 0s to 9s then I’d say the 1930s. ;)

  23. Margaret Holloway says:

I like the late 60′s and early 70′s, as I made ALL my clothes during that time! My “best” outfit was a simple McCall’s dress pattern, made with chartreuse green background and hot pink flowers, and I wore matching hot pink stockings and patent hot pink shoes! Great sewing memories!

  24. Rachel Ahrens says:

I would say the 1940′s because of how detailed the garments were. Women would only have 1 or 2 suits for the season and they were well made.
