To Blessed To Be Stressed
It’s getting closer! Miracles of miracles, I now have most of my handmade gift giving completed. This year, while I was driving cross country I knitted up three scarves to give to a few special people. And, at my last sewing group meeting we spent our time making cool handmade goodies for friends and family. If I didn’t have my sewing friends to keep my feet to the fire, I never would have gotten it done. Thanks girls!
And, speaking of scarves! It’s a good time to mention the new Interweave website for all my fellow knitters and yarn lovers. It’s a gorgeous site and I’m quite green with envy! If you love to sniff yarn, you’ll need to check it out!
Before I left on my trip, I finished up my sweater coat. I found this sweater knit in a discount bin at my local fabric store. I opted for a long version and I added pockets, and added in a few expert touches such as a weighted hem, under and top stitching and finished seams. This turned out so nice, a co-worker thought it was from Nordstrom’s! High praise indeed!
