Pattern: Luna Pants, Made By Rae
Fabric: Chambray and quilting cotton
Any Adjustments: Per my super short legs, I shortened the legs and reduced some of the fullness at the lower ankle cuff.
Review: I was initially drawn to this pattern because it looks like it could work with so many different kinds of fabric…including my large-ish stash of quilting cotton. And that is so true! The pants are easy to fit and look great on a variety of figures: the first pair I made was completed (and worn a zillion times!) while I was pregnant last summer. I’ve made two pairs for my mom – the fit is easy and very forgiving with little to no adjustments.
And back to fabric flexibility! You could head so many different directions with this pattern: use a silky, drapey rayon or a handwoven ikat or a graphic quilting cotton print or cozy flannel, and you’ve got four very different pairs of pants. Plus, bonus points for being secret pajamas – these are perfect for wearing out to casual events or even casual offices, like ours here in Golden, and no one has to know how comfortable you actually are!
