This pattern is a super simple make and comes with a long- or short, cap-sleeve option. The fit is very forgiving–it flares out at the hip (hence the name), hiding those pesky love handles. I also love the super wide scoop neck. Join us and make your own t-shirt for T-SHIRT MONTH!

Pattern: Flared Tee (Long Sleeve, Scoop Neck), Gina Renee Designs: GinaReneeDesigns.com

Fabric: BOLT by Girl Charlee, Homestead Life Tiny Tweed Jersey Knit

Size: M

Any Adjustments: I cut the hem and sleeve lengths along the L size lines but followed the M size lines for everything else.

Mini review: This pattern sews up in a flash. The instructions were very easy to follow. I used a serger for the main construction and a standard sewing machine set to a narrow zigzag for the sleeve and lower-edge hems. I love the flared style, which gives a little extra room around the midsection. The fabric I chose is a mediumweight jersey, as I wanted something that would hold up to our unpredictable spring weather. I’ll definitely use a lightweight jersey to make the short cap-sleeve version for summer.
