Corrections

Oops! Although we make every effort to produce the best possible issue of Sew News each month, mistakes can occur! Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused by our error.

Sew Simple April/May '08

In “Fab Finds” in the April/May ‘08 Sew News, the pictured fabric mover is actually a Viking item, and not the Pfaff Fab-U-Motion mentioned. To find out about the Pfaff Fab-U-Motion, please go to pfaff.com.

Sew Simple Winter '07

We inadvertently omitted the source listing for the needle-felting supplies shown in "Needle Felting" in the Winter '07 issue of Sew Simple (volume 7).

Clover Needlecraft, Inc., clover-usa.com, (800) 233-1703, provided the Felting Needle Tool, Felting Needle Mat and wool roving.

Colonial Needle, Inc., colonialneedle.com, 1-800-9 NEEDLE (800-963-3353), provided the Felting Needles, Foam Block and wool roving.

KandiCorp.com

Kandi Corp, kandicorp.com, provided the following products for "The Basics: Crystals" in the Oct. '07 Sew News:

  • 3mm Fluorescent: lime, orange, watermelon, lemon
  • 4mm Glitter Pearls: light blue, rose, green
  • 3mm Glitter Pearls: fuchsia
  • 3mm Holographic: fuchsia, green, AB
  • 4mm Holographic: red, turquoise, purple
  • Crystalina: triangles, squares, octagon, colored squares, Navette
  • Preciosa Crystals: Aurum/Labrador mix

betsyvintage.com

We transposed a couple letters in a web address featured in the On the Web column in the October 2007 issue of Sew News. The correct web address for the Heavens to Betsy Vintage site is betsyvintage.com. We regret any inconvenience caused by our error.

Staying Power

The Reader Tips column in the August/September 2007 issue of Sew News contains an error. The tip "Staying Power" states to place a piece of hook-and-loop tape to the bottom of the presser foot to prevent it from shifting. It should state to place a piece of hook-and-loop tape to the bottom of the foot pedal instead. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

And the winner is...

We mis-labeled the winning entries for our Hide & Seek contest on page 10 of the June/July 2007 issue. The winning list should have read "February Winners" and not "January Winners." We apologize for any confusion this may have caused.

Embroidery Machine Update
We inadvertently left out the price key for our embroidery chart in the February '07 issue. Use the following information to determine the price range of each machine listed:

$ Under $1,000
$$ $1,000 to $2,999
$$$ $3,000 to $5,999
$$$$ $6,000+

The special offer in "Felted Florals" from the February 2007 issue of Sew News listed an incorrectly phone number. Contact Crawford Designs at (816) 413-8506 or print the online coupon.

We inadvertently omitted the source listing for one of the designs shown in our December 2006 issue. The felt stocking shown on page 30, in our Machine Embroidery, Stitching on Felt article, features floral motifs from Cactus Punch. Look for DES03 rosemaling, des0307 and des0314 at www.cactuspunch.com.

Two pattern labels were swapped in "Look Your Best: Fall Fashion Trends" from the October 2006 issue. On page 56 the gold bubble dress at the top of the page is from Simplicity pattern 4070, View B (Misses' sizes 6 to 20). The silver lace dress at lower right is Neue Mode 23398, View B (Misses' sizes 12 to 24).
