Reversible Skirt
Wrap skirts are a perfect choice for easy reversibility. Make two skirts, sew them right sides together around all but the waistline edge. Turn right side out and finish with a waistband that coordinates with both fabrics.
Another option is a pull-on skirt- choose either a straight or softly flowing style.
- Adjust the pattern to eliminate the turn-down casing, leaving a 1 3/4"-wide allowance above the natural waistline (8).

- Cut a skirt from each fabric and sew all lengthwise seams on one skirt. On the second skirt, sew all the lengthwise seams leaving an opening at one seam upper edge (9).
- With right sides together, sew the skirts together 5/8" from the upper edge and trim the seam to 1/4". Press the seam open, then turn the skirt right side out. Press the upper edge and edgestitch.
- Pin the skirt layers together and machine stitch 1 1/8" below the edgestitching.
- Thread 1"-wide elastic through the seam opening; adjust to fit, and stitch the elastic ends together. Hand stitch the opening closed.
- Allow to hang overnight and then hem the skirts separately. See the jumper hemming directions.
Think of the possibilities that garment doubling can offer. Dress for work and turn inside out at quitting time to be ready for the evening. Pack for a week using just three garments or have twice as many garments in the same amount of closet space.
