USA scarf Cozy FLEECE Chenille

NANCY CORNWELL

Continued From Page 1

U.S.A. Scarf
MATERIALS
  • 1/4 yard of red fleece
  • 1/4 yard of white fleece
  • 1/4 yard of royal blue fleece
  • 90/14 universal needle
  • Red and royal blue sewing thread
  • Rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat
  • 1/4"-wide cutting strips
  • Marking pencil

The U.S.A. scarf is sewn in the same manner as the Candy Cane scarf with the following exceptions:

  • Sandwich the white fleece between the red and blue fleece layers, having the blue and red fleece right sides facing out.

  • Slash open all channels on the red side, inserting the cutting strip between the red and white layers. Repeat for the blue side, inserting the cutting strip between the blue and white layers.

  • Stitch as many channels as needed for the desired scarf length.

  • Instead of trimming the scarf short edges at an angle, fringe them as is.
