Made in the Suede
If you drool over faux suede but hesitate because of the cost per yard, here's how to make a little bit go a long way. Just 1/4 yard of faux suede forms the bridges that tie new wool gabardine and recycled sweater knit fabric together in this elegant, tone-on-tone jacket. Our version incorporates the sleeves and other sections gleaned from a lovely, but dated, wool blend knit dress. Because the original sleeves were too short, we kept the ribbed cuffs intact and increased the sleeve length by cutting the upper sleeve from gabardine.
