LAYERED IN LOVE
Start with a white 4"x 5 1/2" card. Cut a 2"x 4 1/2" rectangle from white cardstock. Tear the edges or trim with decorative scissors.
Cut a 1 1/2"x 4 1/4." rectangle from red cardstock. Make a small hole in the center of each end of the red cardstock with a tapestry needle.
Tear a 1" square from red paper and one from pink paper (the featured card used mulberry paper). Punch a heart from pink paper and gently tear the edges similar to the 1" squares.
Thread a tapestry needle with heavyweight white thread. Bring the thread up through the left-hand hole on the red cardstock, run it through the pink heart, four alphabet buttons to spell l-o-v-e, the pink and red squares and a white button. End the thread by sewing down through the hole on the opposite card end. Tie the thread ends together on the card underside. Use a glue stick to secure the elements in place on the front.
Mount the embellished rectangle to the white rectangle, then the white rectangle to the card front.
