Textol Instant Curtain Tape has plastic spacers that help retain even folds on hanging curtains. For the bag, they're not necessaiy so use utility scissors to cut them off next to the grommet holes.

Bag fabric, lining, and fusible fleece in yardage indicated on pattern
1 yard of Textol Instant CurtainTape and 8 Snap-on Covers
Matching all-purpose sewing thread
To make the drawstring, cut two 2"x40" strips from the bag fabric. With right sides together, sew the strips together along the lengthwise edges with a 3/8" seam. Turn the drawstring right side out and turn in the short ends 3/8". Topstitch 1/4" from all four edges.
Cut the bag pieces, lining and fleece according to the pattern. Note: The featured bag was pieced and topstitched similar to view D in the pattern.
Cut a length of grommet tape to fit the upper edge of each bag piece. The grommets shouldn't be located over a seam. If necessary, piece sections of grommet tape to increase or decrease the space between the center two groinmets until the grommet tape fits the bag. Plan the grommet tape and bag size so there are an even number of grommets on each side of the bag (4).
To eliminate bulk in the bag upper edge that would impede attaching the grommets,
trim 4" from the upper edge of the fusible fleece bag pieces. Fuse the fleece to the bag pieces, aligning the sides and lower edges, and construct the bag body and handle according to the pattern guidesheet.
This pattern has a facing on the lining upper edge to prevent the lining from showing at the bag upper edge. Attach the facing according to the pattern guidesheet. With right sides together, place the grommet tape on the lining pieces (the metal holes are flatter on the right side of this grommet tape), with the tape upper edge 1" from the raw edge of the lining. Stitch along both edges of the tape using a zipper foot.
Continue constructing the bag according to the pattern guidesheet. At each grommet location, follow the manufacturer's instructions to trim the fabric from the grommet hole and attach the snap-on cover.
Thread the drawstring through the grommets with the ends exiting at the two center front grommets. Knot to secure.
