October/November '08 Silk Sachets

Put your own spin on the silk sachets featured on page 46 of this issue. Create a different design for the sachet front, make it a different shape, or embellish it. Include the instructions and materials list. Sachets will not be returned and become the property of Sew News.

E-mail your entries to sewnews@sewnews.com, or send a clear photo and description to Sew News Falling Leaves Contest, 741 Corporate Circle, Suite A, Golden, CO 80401. Include your full name, address, phone number and e-mail address with your entry. Only one entry per person is allowed. Entries must be received by November 17, 2008. Winners will be notified on or around December 1, 2008. Photos of winning entries will be posted online at sewnews.com on or around December 5, 2008. The list of winners will be printed in the February/March ’08 Sew News. Photos will not be returned and become property of Sew News. Entries will be judged by a panel of Sew News editors based on use of materials, creative description and difficulty.

Rules:

All entries will be judged by a panel of Sew News editors based on the following criteria: use of materials (35%), sewing difficulty (35%) and creative description (35%).

By participating in the contest, entrant certifies that his/her entry is original; hasn't been previously published or won any award; and doesn't contain any material that would violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party, including copyrights, trademarks or rights or privacy or publicity. Sew News/CK Media reserves the right in its sole and unfettered discretion to disqualify any entry that it believes contains obscene, offensive or inappropriate content, that doesn't comply with these official rules or that's not consistent with the spirit or theme of the contest. The decision of the judges is final and binding on all matters relating to the contest.

Prizes and Approximate Retail Values: Five (5) winnders will each receive the Trace 'n Create product line from Clover. Winners will be notified via phone, e-mail or postal mail on or about August 29, 2008. The list of winners will be published in the December 2008 issue of Sew News and winning photos will be posted in an online gallery at sewnews.com on or around September 5, 2008.

Illegible, incomplete, mutilated, postage due, or mechanically reproduced entry forms or entry forms that have been tampered with will be disqualified. Limit (1) one entry per person. Entries become the property of Sew News/CK Media and will not be returned. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt. Sew News/CK Media is not responsible for lost, late, mutilated, misdirected, incomplete, inaccurate or postage due entries. If there's a dispute as to the identity of an online entrant, the prize will be awarded to the authorized account holder of the email address. The "authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person to whom the e-mail address is assigned by an Internet service provider, online service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and Canada only. Void where prohibited by law.
