USE YOUR IMAGINATION and any combination of materials and techniques to create a functional purse that expresses your purse-onality. Use beads, trim, fur, fabric, add paint and glitz--the sky's the limit. The only restriction is that you must make the purse--no ready-made bags permitted. (Purchased handles and hardware are acceptable.)
To enter, attach two photos of your purse (one of the entire purse and a detail shot) to the completed entry form and send to Let's Get Purse-onal Contest, Sew News, 741 Corporate Circle, Ste. A, Golden, CO 80401 by June 20, 2005. An overall Grand Prize winner will be selected along with a first-, second- and third-place winner for each category.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. You must be 18 years or older and a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia. Enter by constructing a purse (no ready-made purses will be accepted), representing one of three categories: Casual, Evening or Working (i.e., backpacks, messenger bags, totes). The purse must be functional. A, Golden, CO 80401. All entries must be received by June 20, 2005. One entry per person. No more than one entry per envelope. Sponsors shall not be responsible for lost, late, mutilated or misdirected entries. Illegible entries will not be accepted. No entries will be returned. Entries will be judged and prize winners selected by the Sew News editorial and art staffs, under supervision of the "Sponsors." Participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decision of the judges. The winners will be notified by mail/e-mail on or about Oct. 1, 2005.
