Sew News: The Fashion Collection
Spring 2004

By Susan Voigt-Reising

Mix It Up

Look your best effortlessly with McCall's 4392 (Misses'/Miss Petite sizes 10 to 24), wardrobe staples with out-of-the-ordinary detailing. Start with the long-sleeve, pointed-collar jacket with patch pockets and a welcome surprise: a back yoke that drops into button detailing. For the workweek, wear the jacket with the scoop-neck, side-vent top and low-calf, pull-on skirt with side slit or pull-on, straight-leg pants. Then get ready for the weekend by adding the top with three-quarter sleeves and accented with button-bedecked slits-a perfect combo atop cropped pants echoing the same feature. For a truly magic mix, select a focal print in your best colors for the jacket and cropped pants, then pull two or three solids from the print for the balance. In easy-care fibers, these are wardrobe friends that won't let you down.
