Delicate Details

Jacket Construction

Stitch the front and shoulder darts, trimming the seams to 1/4" and serging or zigzagging to finish. Press the front dart seams downward and the shoulder dart toward the jacket center.

Stitch the jacket fronts to the jacket back at the shoulder seams. On a flat surface, mark the lace placement lines (4).

Cut a 54" Lace-D strip. Measure 21" in from the right end and mark a dot with a water-soluble marker. Align the dot with the bow placement on the jacket back, with the shorter end to the right, and shape the bow as shown (5). Stitch the bow edges with a narrow zigzag.
