The Fashion Collection
Spring 2006

Sheer Ambience

Make a statement! Light-as-a-feather fabrics like chiffon, organza and charmeuse are fashion heavyweights when it comes to style and drama. The long-sleeve, notched collar shirt and lined, scoop-neck tank in McCall's 5051 (Misses'/Miss Petite sizes 8 to 22) are a dynamic showcase for the same print in two fabrics–for example, charmeuse for the darted tank, chiffon for the button-and-loop-closure shirt. Or play the understated sophisticate with both in the same breezy lightweight crepe. The shirt befriends most figures, skimming to mid-hip or near-knee lengths, while a sleeve hem band option adds zest. Include the optional coordinating head scarf for a confident air at work or play.

...Brave New Twirl

From the March 2006 issue of Sew News magazine.
