Ribbonwork Revisited

Cut the green leaf trim in half and tack over the long edge of the lace, tucking under the trim cut ends (2).

To make one pink rose, use 7" of 1 1/4" -wide, pink silk ribbon. Fold the ribbon lengthwise, offsetting the long edges approximately 3/8". Stitch a gathering thread along the sides and fold (3). Gather the ribbon tightly and overlap the ends forming a circle. Secure the gathering at the overlap point with a few stitches at the flower center.

Decorate the rose's center with gold seed beads. Thread six beads onto the needle and sew into the flower center. Repeat this step two more times on the same flower, for a total of 18 beads at the center (4).

Make two more roses using the same technique and 7" of 1"-wide, pink edged, bias silk ribbon for each rose. Use a pearl button for the center embellishment instead of the seed beads.
