Front & Center

Getting Started

Cut and construct the coat according to pattern directions, eliminating the buttons and buttonholes.

Insert a topstitching or jeans needle into the sewing machine. Thread the machine with topstitching thread or two strands of all-purpose thread.

Beginning at the coat lower edge, topstitch 3/8" from the center-front edges, stopping 3/8" from the coat upper edge. Pivot and stitch across the upper edge to where the hood begins. Pivot again and stitch off the coat front (1).

Topstitch around the hood 3/8" from the finished edge (2).
