Making Connections

By Janet Klaer

I'm looking for the SNAP-TOGETHER BUTTON that I've seen on the front and back of decorator pillows and furniture cushions.
Emma G.

The item you want is the joined pivot button. This upholstery product is actually two buttons–one has a serrated tack on the back; the other has a lock washer–that snap together securely. It's available through the custom-button covering service provided by Baer Fabrics in Louisville, KY, and can be made in three sizes: 24 line (5/8"), 30 line (3/4") and 36 line (7/8"). For more information, call (800) 769-7778 or (502) 583-5521, or visit baerfabrics.com.

From the January 2007 issue of Sew News magazine.
