Easy to Make Scarf

Easy to Make Scarf

  • 14"x60" strip each of 2 coordinating knit fabrics
  • All-purpose thread
  • Hand sewing needle
  • Serger (optional)

Align the strips with right sides together; pin.

Set the serger to a 3-thread overlock stitch. If using a conventional sewing machine, select a narrow zigzag stitch. Stitch the strip long edges, leaving a 4" opening along one edge for turning. Turn the strip right side out.

Turn the strip inside itself toward the wrong side, pulling the fabric through the tube until the short ends are aligned with right sides together. Align the long seams; pin, and then stitch the short ends.

Turn the scarf right side out through the opening. Slipstitch the opening closed.
