This site looks great–I have never been here before. My favorite holiday is Christmas, when I get to give people I love gifts. My next favorite is New Year’s, because it’s a rememberance of the past year, and a time for reflection, followed by celebration, welcoming in the New Year.

  3. Niki says:

  4. Wanda Luna says:

My favorite is Christmas because of the meaning of the sea son for it is to have Jesus in your heart, not only this time of the year…all year long and doing good things for others, caring for the ones around you, for those who doesnt have much to give but a lot to teach us! Give to receive a smile is a great thing! Because those are blessings that God send from heaven! God Bless You All and Merry Christmas ! ;-)

  5. Sharon spencer says:

I love Christmas because of Jesus birth being celebrated & families taking time to celebrate His love through them. Most people make an effort to reflect on their love for families & each other by giving of their time or to give gifts. It is a very peaceful time of the year!

  8. Jo Ann Portell says:

Christmas is most definitely my favorite holiday and time of the year! I grew up in a family of 8 children. My mother (just celebrated her 80th BD!) always made Christmas so special. We always bought a huge tree and put it up 3 days before Christmas; I especially remember it was our “job” as kids to help decorate the tree. We all had certain ornaments to put on it. The crowning touch was putting on the “angel hair”. Anyone else remember angel hair?! There’s something quite magical about turning on Christmas tree lights for the first time! The twinkling blue, green and red lights looked exquisite against the backdrop of softly, falling snow outside the alcove of our living room where the tree stood. Mom would put different decorations (usually homemade) around the house and I looked forward with excitement and anticipation in helping her bake Christmas cookies and fudge. Of course, we always made extra for friends and neighbors. I can still remember the wonderful smells of Christmas baking to this day. Our 3 sons are grown now and have families of their own but I carried on that tradition (and still do) with my own children and grandchildren. The best thing about those memories is remembering the love and time we shared and continue to share. That’s what makes Christmas so special–it is about the Gift of Love that God sent to us and remembering that in that spirit we should freely give to others not only now but throughout the year.

All the neighborhood kids love coming here to see all the things we have to show and I buy the best candy to give to them because it is what I would want if I were a child. Their little faces are so lit up. It’s so great to see them all.
